Monumental oil paintings of abandoned buildings and weathered boats. The threads that tie these works together are apparent in their boldness, character and unique twist in perspective. Each painting becomes a portrait with a distinct personality... and a story to tell.
With every turn of the tiller or twist in the trail, inspiration is found on both land and sea. Libert invites us into her adventures with an all-encompassing pictorial space.
Inspired by her encounters on land and below the sea, Libert creates bold, whimsical portraits of animals, birds and fish.
People from around the world comprise a series of large works found in Libert's studio. Their stance, and expressions invite us to ponder their stories.
